Stainless MIG Welding

Stainless MIG welding has many uses and benefits, which is why we use it regularly for a variety of projects.

Stainless MIG Welding
Stainless MIG welding is a standard, highly used type of welding, and has been so since its discovery in the 1940s. When MIG welding is used, an arc of electricity is formed that creates a short circuit, which is continuously fed by a welding gun, between an anode and a cathode. The metals being welded together are mixed and melted as the circuit creates heat. A new piece of metal is produced after the materials are solidified and cooled.

There are many reasons why our team here at Stainless Outfitters Inc. uses stainless MIG welding when we work on projects for our various clients. For example, we like to use stainless MIG welding because many types of metals besides just stainless steel can be welded with it, including nickel, bronze, aluminum, and copper. Additionally, stainless steel pieces of varying thicknesses can be welded together using this process, and the simplicity of MIG welding enables us to complete projects at a relatively quick rate.

During any welding project we are presented with, our goal is to meet any design challenges and present a quality, usable product to our client. We will do the same for you, and look forward to meeting your specific needs throughout the duration of your project.
